Chloe Dygert biography
Chloé Dygert is an American professional racing cyclist who rides for UCI Women’s WorldTeam Canyon-SRAM.
Chloé Dygert began playing basketball at a young age and has always been active. She didn’t start taking cycling seriously, though, until a shoulder injury in 2013.
She was forced to give up basketball after suffering yet another injury. She won the junior national titles in road racing and individual time trials in 2015, and she also won the junior world titles in those same sports twice. The US cycling organization USA Cycling then sent an invitation to her.

As a starter for the US four-in-four team pursuit at the World Cup in London in March 2016, Dygert helped the team win the world championship. Dygert, at 19 years old, was selected to compete in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro that year, where she took home a silver medal in the team pursuit. Controversy surrounded the 2016 Olympic Pursuit Team. Andy Sparks, the head coach, was let go for creating a hostile workplace. Until 2018, Dygert aided Sparks and collaborated with him.
Together with Kelly Catlin, Jennifer Valente, Kimberly Geist, and others, she won the world title in the singles pursuit and the team pursuit at the 2017 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Hong Kong. She won her first Panamerican championship in the individual time trial on the road in May 2017.

At the UCI Road World Championships on September 24, 2020, Dygert crashed during the women’s time trial, sustaining a laceration to her left leg that needs surgery. Dygert committed to UCI Women’s WorldTeam Canyon-SRAM in November of that year, beginning with the 2021 campaign.
