Girija Tickoo was a popular Indian librarian born in Arigam, Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir, India on 15th February, 1969 and died on 25th June, 1990. According to her date of death, the librarian passed away at the age of 21 years from rape and murder.
She was one of the victims of the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the year 1990 who was brutally raped and murdered.

Tickoo was a married woman. She was married to her husband, Girdhari Lal Tickoo who hailed from Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir, India. According to reliable sources, the librarian and her husband, at the time of her death, were blessed with two adorable children; one boy and one girl.

Girija Tickoo was a successful librarian hailing from Jammu and Kashmir in India. She has been working for some time after her school days when something tragic happened to her. She is one of the victims of the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 who was badly raped and murdered.

Girija Tickoo Story
The librarian went to school to receive her salary and upon her return, are was abducted by Jihadi militants consisting of five men including one of her colleagues. After her abduction, she was brutally raped by the men in a cab.
After that, her body was cut into two with a carpenter’s saw while she was alive. She was then murdered on 25th June, 1990 and her body was found by the roadside in a very bad condition.

Girija Tickoo Family
The late Indian librarian was born in a Kashmiri Pandits family in India. She has a brother whose name is Satish Raina. Her parent’s names are currently not available. Her family has now spoken up about the death of the librarian over three decades ago.
Girija Tickoo Niece
Tickoo has s a niece called Sidhi Raina. Sidhi Raina posted a message on Instagram which has now become the talk of the town. The post was a published letter from her mother which discusses how she and her family are still waiting for justice to be served. She went on to encourage everyone to go and see the film Kashmir Files.
