Previously, in February 2017, having been asked who was the country’s best economy minister, he answered the still-controversial Domingo Cavallo, given the bad image Cavallo suffers in Argentine society. On June 26, 2018, Milei was delivering a conference in Metan, in the Salta Province, when he called journalist Teresita Frias “a donkey” after she stated his ideological views are totalitarian.
As he refused to apologize, he was immediately reported to be exerting gender violence on her by the media, and a local court compelled him to be subjected to a psychological examination.
