Paul Mescal height: How tall is Paul Mescal?

Since receiving his diploma from The Lir Academy in 2017, Paul Mescal has made appearances in plays in Dublin theaters such The Great Gatsby, Asking for It, and The Lieutenant of Inishmore.

Mescal’s performance in the miniseries Normal People earned him a British Academy Television Award, as well as nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Critics’ Choice Television Award.

The following  year, he made his screen debut in the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter.Mescal was born in Maynooth, County Kildare, to semi-professional actor Paul and Garda officer Dearbhla.

He has a brother and a sister in addition to being the oldest of three children. The Maynooth Post Primary School is where he attended. He played Gaelic football for Kildare’s minor and under-21 teams and belonged to the Maynooth GAA club.

Due to a jaw injury, he had to give up playing the sport. At the age of 16, Mescal made his stage debut as the titular Phantom in the musical The Phantom of the Opera. He then applied to The Lir Academy at Trinity College Dublin and was accepted after a successful audition. In 2017, Mescal earned a Bachelor of Arts in acting.

Mescal is at present a resident of London. He plays the piano. In July 2020, the actor will sing and recite poetry at the London Natural History Museum alongside Irish musician Dermot Kennedy.

He took part in a virtual stage reading of Kenneth Lonergan’s play This Is Our Youth in October of the same year as part of a series that benefited the Actors Fund of America charity.
