Susan Roces has a pretty successful career and it lasted for about seven decades and also organized herself as the leading woman in local film.

She made her cinematic debut in the film Mga Bituin ng Kinabukasan in 1952. Since then she has featured in movies like Gumising Ka Maruja, Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw, Mano Po, Patayin Mo sa Sindak si Barbara and others.

Her recent role she played was Flora Lola Kap S. Borja-de Leon in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. She has starred in over 130 films and has won 5 Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (FAMAS).

Susan Roces real name is Jesusa Purification Levy Sonora-Poe and was born on July 28th, 1914 but died on May 20th, 2022. She was regarded as the “Queen of Philippines Movies”
