Who is Shakira?
Shakira is the stage name used by Colombian singer and composer Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll. She was raised in Barranquilla and is known as the “Queen of Latin Music” for her wide range of musical styles. At the age of 13, she made her recording debut with Sony Music Colombia.

In Barranquilla, Colombia, on February 2, 1977, Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll was born. She is William Mebarak Chadid and Nidia Ripoll Torrado’s lone child. She is of Lebanese and Colombian ancestry. William, her father, was born in New York City to Lebanese parents.
She went to Catholic schools and was raised a Catholic.
As a result of her father’s first marriage, she has eight elder half-siblings.

Shakira husband
In 2000, Shakira started dating Argentinian attorney Antonio de la Ra. They already functioned as a married pair, according to Shakira, who said in a 2009 interview, “they don’t need documents for that.”
Shakira and de la Ra split up in August 2010 after ten years of marriage, citing “a mutual choice to take time apart from our loving partnership.”
In 2011, Shakira started dating Spanish football player Gerard Piqué.
Shakira and Piqué, who is exactly ten years younger than her, got to know one another in the spring of 2010 after he made an appearance in the music video for the FIFA World Cup 2010 anthem “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” by Shakira.
After 11 years of marriage, the couple announced in 2022 that they would be splitting up.

Milan Pique Mebarak, the couple’s first child, was born to Shakira on January 22, 2013, in Barcelona, where the family had relocated.
On January 29, 2015, Shakira gave birth to their second son, Sasha.
Milan Pique Mebarak was exposed to fame at a young age and even made an appearance in her famous mother’s “La La La” music video in 2014. His younger sibling is Sasha Piqué Mubarak.
